Is there any place to shoot outdoors that isnt a traditional range. Called the blm office just now in barstow and was told all blm is closed to target shooting. idywild ranger station told me bee canyon and forbes rd is closed. and steele peak was just on fire. if anyone knows of a spot plz pm me. ive got multiple new items ive got to get out and practice with.

Seems like a place that just got done being on fire would be the perfect spot to do some target shooting as it's not likely you're going to start a wildfire there.

As for BLM, I couldn't tell you anywhere that I've had a good time shooting at that isn't 110 degrees at 10am right now.

yeah, but not for general public. You have to be in the class. I called their office and was told that.

from my understanding from reading there website info they do not allow center-fire rifles. all my rifles would get really jealous of my pistols and pump guns and just scream at me when i got home.

Wouldn't that area be closed if the areas around Barstow are?

I shoot closer to Kramer Junction, I've only been up there once this year. I'd venture a guess and say my spot is closed as well.

Hec, I'd think this would be their wet season being the high desert.

According to the ridgecrest blm office 5 minutesago jawbone canyon is open to shooting. No fires, no steel core ammo, no incendiary or tracers and no exploding targets allowed.

Maybe some drilling type multi barrel guns?
