Tagged for interest, I have one of my grandfathers old BB guns that has a lot of sentimental value and I'd like to reblue it."Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views." - William F. Buckley, Jr.

Most cold blues will wear off faster than the original blue (hot caustic or rust bluing and ect) I would get your gun re-blued, parkerized, or dura-coated if you want it to last.
You might want to try to heat the metal up to open the pores then use perma-blue. I have done that for small areas and it seems to give it a better look. (Do not heat up to a cherry red! A little more than warm to the touch should work just fine.)I Survived Roe Vs. Wade!!!Comment
