    AR pistol help

So are AR pistols no longer a thing? ive tried to look it up but i get a TON of old posts with old info. i was just hoping to get an AR pistol lower, stripped or not i dont care. ive been out of the gun loop for a while so and researching this is confusing. im not good with massive legal articles so instead of linking me to one of those can someone give a a short low down on AR pistol lowers? i wish it was as easy as drosing a stripped pistol lower :/ any help would be appreciated, ill delete this right after i get an answer, and leave room for smart ppl stuff lol thanks!

You cannot buy a pistol lower only (however, you can build one from 80% and then make sure it complies with regs), you have to buy a neutered AR-15 pistol that you can modify later.

You can buy a pistol lower through PPT, or get one of the SSE2 complete AR pistols, but even better, make your own through 80% following standard practices. Personally manufacture it as a single shot, then once completed configure in semi-auto, you're gtg.

ya id love to do the 80% route but i dont have a drill press, and im not a handy man at all :/ i live in a S#IT area and the odds of finding someone selling an AR pistol (for a realistic price) is really slim -__- it has to be face to face right? i cant get a pre owned one from gun broker or something? anyways that answers most of my question! thank you guys!

Yes, it must be a PPT. No, you cannot buy one from GunBroker.

If you want to get a complete ar pistol you can look at Franklin Armory they have a California legal that can be shipped to a ffl buds guns has them I've also seen them on grab a gun. I too want to get one & researched a bit & this is the only option I found other than going the 80% route. Oh one more thing aeroprecision sells a lower marked as a pistol lower but I'm not sure if that can be shipped to California & drosed as a pistol. I'm thinking of calling them to see if it can be shipped here & make it into a ar pistol. Here is a link to buds guns and aeroprecision.

Franklin Armory specializes in producing legal firearms for restrictive jurisdictions (such as California), and its firearms are made in America with 100% American-made p
