Advice for finding Financial resources for manufacturing

I wanted to get advice on how to go about finding both financial resources on manufacturing a new type of handgun.

Are there places I can find angel investors that have interests in firearms?

I live near San Francisco and any advice is appreciated.

Do you have an idea you want to pitch or do you have a fully tested prototype?

If you only have an idea then it's a tough road ahead. In my experience no one will give you any money until you have a sunk a large chuck of your own money and into it and proven you have a worth while idea.
