Need help identifying strange residue on a target

I was shooting a match today and on one of the stages, the targets were within three feet of the muzzle. 8 shots in rapid succession. After clearing the stage, some of the guys had pointed the issue out to me and mentioned that whoever loaded my ammo had used crappy powder. You can see in the image below a silver residue in a half moon shape.

I have never seen anything like this before and could use the CG expertise.

    Ammo - Miwall -9mm reloads, 125GR.

    Thank you!

Is the bullet jacketed/plated, or lead?

Just a guess, it looks like lead vapor deposition.

I believe it to be plated.

        This.

Even if the round was plated, that's not necessarily proof against the lead vapor thing.

(It does look like soft lead w/no plating, though.)

You answered your own question, you're using crappy Miwall reloads. Probably the plating isn't holding up in the rifling?
