    Older Glock 17 info needed-

I have a glock 17 that does not have a groove in the plastic on the under barrell front area which I think the newer models have that will facilitate the mounting of laser or flash light hardware-

So on my older model can this be changed or are there any kits to change this for mounting of hardware purposes?

Well, it's possible. I have no idea whether this is any good.

(Found that with a Google search for "add rail to glock". Easy enough...)

A rail mount would be useful, or you can contact Glock and see if they can upgrade. Give them a try.

          I second that "try".

I know Glock could take the old version and return a new frame with the old SN (usually it's "1-SN"), but I don't know if they do that sort of thing except as a warranty action; just wanting a rail because one has an old design doesn't strike me as warranty work. But companies have been known to do strange and wonderful things if asked.

Glock charges $150 to change frames.
