    This cannon really shoots!

    Happy almost July 4th!

I'm told that this cannon really shoots, and has been shot in the desert not far from my home in Idaho (just recently moved).

      Looks pretty small bore.

Cannons that don't fire cartridge rounds aren't even firearms, I believe. Who knows wrt to stupid Cali laws though. I used to be on a listserv for cannon owners, most of whom shot cannons with softball-sized bores or larger. A lot of those guys made their own.

Actually, CA laws aren't horrible with regards to a lot of cannons and there are people in CA into cannons. Don't cart it around loaded. Don't convert it to fire a fixed cartridge. They recently came up in a thread and I did some poking around through the CA PC/USC/CFR and posted the relevant info for those interested: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...ghlight=cannon

Now finding a place where you can shoot the thing... that might be a little more challenging unless you've got a BLM spot.

Of course. You don't want to shoot it on a range even if you could. The whole point of having a cannon is for blowing stuff up at long range.

Coalinga Rifle Club has cannon shoots at different times during the year.
            Keep it simple!

"Sporter" is what the drooling toothless inbred albino with the hacksaw thinks his newly created "dear riffel" is.
"Bubba" is what he and his ugly and ruined rifle really are.
First you are chopping up historic vintage rifles and sticking them in cheap and nasty looking plastic "dildo" stocks that look like some kind of futuristic sex toy that gay space aliens stick up each other's butts.

Looks kind of cool! It also looks like a hernia waiting to happen. I wonder how much that weighs?
