    1st day ccw

So today is my first day carrying. It feels kind of weird knowing I have a gun on me and I'm walking thru the store buying groceries. Does that ever go away, the weird feeling.

Yep. Pretty quickly. Just carry every day and it'll seem weird on the days when you don't or can't carry.

If you think it feels weird to carry inside a grocery, make a short trip to the bank.

The first time I carried to the local annual Sheriff's Deputies appreciation dinner was interesting. Carrying a concealed handgun in a high school cafeteria with a about a dozen cops all around just felt weird. Got over it though.

If you haven't seen it with your own eyes,
or heard it with your own ears,
don't make it up with your small mind,
or spread it with your big mouth.

It was weird for me too, the first couple weeks. Now after about two months of daily carrying, it feels weird if I don't have it on.

I find that I am a little less concerned about whether or not I am printing, or if someone might see it. For the most part 99% of the population is clueless as to what is happening around them.

          Just remember two things:

          Why you chose to carry.

And no one else knows that you are...and it should stay that way.

Way to go man it's always nice to know there's one more responsible human being out on the street.

You get used to it QUICK.

Like others said, you feel weird when you dont have it on.

First time in a bank, first time LE pass you by in a 7/11 or coffee shop is uncomfortable.... but no one notices.... and you get comfortable very VERY quickly.

Think of it like this: Before you got your CCW, did you carry a knife daily? Did that feel new and exciting at first, but pretty quickly go away? Do you feel odd when you are without that knife on you?

You'll become comfortable with knowing that you have a gun on you, but so far after 6 months I haven't ever "forgotten" that I was wearing a gun. It's something that I'm constantly aware of. Personally, I think that's a healthy respect for the responsibility of it.

Everyone else said it well. I'll just add carry safe.

You will feel like it may be showing, or other might notice, but they don't. The general public will talk to you and have no idea.

Yea so far I'm just worried about my shirt flipping up or something. It's starting to get really comfortable, I find though that I need to wear an undershirt to keep my grips from rubbing me raw.

you 'll get to a point where you'll feel naked without it. Next time you go cloths shopping your going to start buying cloths that make conceal carrying easier. Maybe a couple dozen holsters....

Any thoughts on the alien gear holsters. I bought a cheap leather one. Works so far but I want one that is a iwb holster that is super comfortable but not extremely large
