    Cable locks

What do you guys do with all the yellow and red cable locks that accompany a new firearm purchase?

I have a number of them that never get used. Thinking of tossing them.

I finally found a use for one to lock up my 20L NATO gas can in the bed of my truck. The cable makes it especially easy to access the actual lock.

Curious to see a photo if it's not too much to ask.

OP I have the same problem as you, so far only use I had was a stop gap measure to lock a trailer tow hitch overnight (I know a simple bolt cutter away) but better than nothing.

^ I put my can in one of these and run the cable through that little lock hole to keep the top strap locked in place.

I guess I'll try and sell them at the next yard sale.

Odd man out... I own nothing with a trunk. All my gun cases are locked closed in the back of my Tahoe.

Yeah, I own a Tahoe too. But those locks are too big for the eyelets on my gun cases.

I use one for a bike lock occasionally.

If they are CA models give them to your local FFL or I will send you a shipping label to send to me.

For people that needs locks when they DROS we sell them one for $.01 as we take donation locks from customers all the time.

i have a small brass combination lock with "SIGARMS" marking that accompanied a SIGARMS plastic case from the early 1990s. the case with lock could only be purchased via the SIG QUARTERLY periodical and on a few occasions was available as a promotional item with purchase of a Sig Sauer pistol. the case has a small formed space inside for storage of the lock. the case is rather difficult to find and desirable as a collectible (was only available for 1-2 years), but the lock is rare and almost never shows up for sale on the online auction circuit or anywhere else.

Ive left a couple on the table at my FFL. Tossed a few in the trash. I've kept 1 or 2 in case I need a small lock at some point. Hasn't happened yet. They're not exactly a beefy lock
