stores that charge over $35.00 for PPT

I use Discount shooters supply for most of my PPT and always get charged $35.00. I remember a few years ago there was a stink going around about a few gun stores charging more than 35$ and people where posting about trying to take legal action and yada yada yada. Are there still gun stores in Sacramento that charge more than $35 or did people make a big enough deal to shut the overcharges down. Just curious, the older I get the more I think about dumb stuff

there should be public awareness about shops that illegally overcharge for a PPT. interstate transfers are a different story

I agree. I'm looking to PPT some things, and a few years ago I had some surprises from shops that told me it was $35 for the standard fees, plus some stupid storage fees that added another $25 or $35 to the deal. It pissed me off enough that I would never go back to those places. I'd rather hope that knowledgeable people on the forum would chime in and make a few recommendations of shops that have earned their business. Doing it by trial and error out in the wild has been a time-consuming pain (for me at least).

Simple call to DOJ and report them.

DOJ notifies them in a timely manner to comply, if they don't they'll get a unfriendly visit. Most are smart enough to comply.

The point is not to have a lot of repetitive crap. For example there must be a hundred threads on, "Which 1911 should I buy." If people would take two minites to search they would most likely find the answer to their question. They could then ask a more focused question.

The search function works fine. Too bad you are too lazy to use it.

WOW, so per you, people have to first search through 100 threads on 1911's and then they can ask a question that will bring new info to the table. Every question has already been anwsered numerous times on calguns. So again, why do we even have a forum to ask questions if there is 2.5 Million responses on how to start reloading that someone can just search for. I guess we could have every response to every question be a link to GOOGLE or BING. We could be the voice for all those people HAVING to repeat themselves over and over, We could tell the people making us type those long drawn out explanations to leave us alone and just let us type GOOGLE SEARCH. After we get done saving all those fingers we could go find a car forum and save them. I actually really enjoy talking about reloading and Calguns would die if it was not for new people asking the same thing over and over and feeling like someone cares enough to take the time to answer their question, that is what Calguns is here for.
