    homemade .22 tube speedloader?

Hey, I want to make a speedloader for my friend's new Sears 3T (Winchester 190 knockoff) for Xmas but I can't seem to find any plans for it (I have seen it SOMEWHERE on the 'net.) Anyone have any general ideas/hints/links for me to look at? I would like to make a full length (15rd) for target shooting and a shorter (5rd) one for hunting. Kind of like a Spee-D-Loader but more versatile.

    Thanks guys!

What kind of game would you be hunting with a .22lr rifle that you would have to only load 5 rds? Taurus did/does make tube feed speedloaders for their rimfire rifles.

Just for keeping the speedloader shorter for walking around while hunting in greater comfort.

At only $20 for a real one, I would just cut one down. Gotta be easier than scratch building. But, if you do find the plans, please post a link. I would like to see what they consist of.

I was thinking of maybe four copper tubes soldered somehow joined together, capped on one end and then find some way to have quick load caps on the other end.

This is not my idea. It has been mentioned, on this board, that aluminum arrow shafts work as a cheap speed loader. I never tried it but it does sound good.

Plastic tubes seem lighter and easier to fashion. I have some somewhere.
