I've finished my waiting period (felt like forever!!) and will be picking up my Smith and Wesson SD9VE tomorrow morning. It works out good because I can go to the gun show tomorrow afterwards and pick up some good deals on ammo and accessories.
Anyway, I've seen some videos on YouTube of people griping about the sights on the SD9VE and some of them have had the idea of putting a few dabbies of glow-in-the-dark paint on the sights to improve their reliability in a home-defense situation.
I don't think there is any kind of prohibition on this, but I just wanted to ask the forum before I went and did it to make sure it was California legal to modify the sights in such a manner. I'm new to CA and not sure what flies and what doesn't around here, so it's always better to be safe than sorry. Any information would be appreciated!
