Well, for August '09 when I'm actually back
I don't want to spend too much, no more than $700 max +/- a few. I've got other things that need to be paid off so this is going to be my mini-splurge. I would like something that's going to be an investment, either in the monetary or sentimental sense (or even better both!). Here's what I have in mind so far:
Or any combination of the above? For the record, I don't plan on making any firearms purchases in the near future after this one because my income is limited, so I want to make it a good buy!

I would like something that's going to be an investment, either in the monetary or sentimental sense (or even better both!). Here's what I have in mind so far:
- 1911 - Because it's a 1911! Haven't decided on brand though.
- OLL's - Buy a bunch of lowers for safekeeping? I just won't have anything new to show off at the range...
- Sig - Because it's a solid, dependable pistol. And they offer military discounts.
- .22lr pistol - Will be much easier on the wallet and be an investment in the sense of cheap ammo, practice techniques and introducing new shooters
- Ruger 10/22 - Same idea as the .22lr pistol, but also one of those 'must have' firearms I don't have yet
Or any combination of the above? For the record, I don't plan on making any firearms purchases in the near future after this one because my income is limited, so I want to make it a good buy!
