    Bakersfield Gunshow,Any Good???

Planning on going to the Bakersfield gunshow this coming weekend. Never been to it before. Anyone know if their gunshow is any good? How big is it compared to the Ventura gunshow???
    TIA,
    Vic

Should be just like any other small show, decent. Just don't have too many expectations, haggle their prices and come out full with jerky samples.

            This Weekend, 11/22 and 11/23.

One building, mixed results. Last show here I had to stop shopping at the first aisle since I spent big bucks on the great deals!

Got a near mint in the box Lew horton 686 carry comp (one of 300) and a C.O.P.!

Deals vary just like every other show...

The one and only Bakersfield show I went to was VERY small, and mostly older worn-out rifles. If you want ammo, then I guess it would be ok, but don't say I didn't warn you!!!

Like new or new gun prices will be at or higher than new rifles in stores. Bullets, cases, primers, etc will be around mail order prices. Even stuff like 10 year old discontinued 375 caliber bullets will be priced at what you can buy new bullets at Midway.

I go once every 5 years and might find $20 worth of stuff that I don't want to pay postage for and then I don't go back for another 5 years.

I find stuff every show, I could list the items, 1903 .22 Springfield Trainer for $300, the C.O.P. .357, etc, it varies.

The best deals are what people bring in to sell and walk around with. Got a 99% Original trapdoor for $375 that way...only marks on it were the original stacking swivel marks from the Armory...

Just plan to haggle a lot, and don't be afraid to walk away. Most of the really good deals disappear early Saturday Morning. The REALLY Good deals happen before the show in the horse trading between dealers. I work the FONRA/Kern Shooting Sports table there and have found stuff every show. But ya gotta look for it, dicker on it and be there early!

I haven't been to the Bakersf'd show for several years. But every time I get there I get a good deal. Like what has been said, you can deal and they will move stuff, just be ready to walk away, there is always something else.

Save your money, the Bakersfield gun shows suck.

I got a steal on 8MM ammo. I got 440 rounds of Sniper Ammo for $89 with two free ammo cans (As if I don't have enough of those right!)that was pretty much the only good deal.

That was a good price on the 8X57 ammo. Glad you finally scored some.

PM me if you want to part with any of your excess ammo cans. I could use a couple.
