    Awesome day

Today I took my son to Coyote Valley Sporting Clays. It wasn't very crowded, the weather was perfect. My son, 12-years old, had one of his best accuracy days with his little 870 pump action 20 gauge. Heck, I think we about tied.

We enjoyed a good lunch on their patio and browsed some guns.

Overall, couldn't have asked for a better day. It is been a long time since I enjoyed a day off.

    That is all, carry on.

What time were you there? I'm wondering if you might have seen wife and I, we were there in the afternoon from around 1pm to 4pm.

We went to Coyote Valley all 3 days (Sat, Sun and Mon) over this weekend, we love shooting trap there.

It was surprisingly not crowded for all 3 days, I was expecting the place to be packed and we'll have to wait for our turn on the trap field, but it seems the shooting public decided to spend their Memorial long weekend somewhere else. Oddly enough, Mother's Day weekend was a lot more crowded.

For today, I think I know part of the reason. Coyote Valley's web site calendar indicated that they will be closed today. It wasn't until this morning that they amended that error and changed it to open from 9am to 5pm. I'm guessing by then, people already made other plans. I only knew that they will be open today because I was there on Sat and Sun and I asked the girls at the counter if they'll be open.

Wife and I are usually on the trap field on weekends, please stop by and say hi if you see us. If you see a couple on the trap field wearing Beretta shooting vests and using Benelli semi-auto shotguns, that's most likely us.

Great to hear it. A good day at the range with family is hard to beat
A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it.

I didn't even check to see if they would be open. They are open on most holidays so I figured our chances were good.

We love going there also. A nice variety of shotgun shooting (Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays, 5-Stand and SAA Cowboy). The facilities are well maintained too.

We left about 2:30-ish. So we likely crossed each others paths at some point.

Always nice to go shooting with your kid(s). My daughter would bug me to go and we often went when it was a school/work holiday. It was always enjoyable. She is close to having my grand daughter and it will be nice when I can take her to the range.

Good deal. A day at the range almost beats a day accumulating mass dollars.

Instead of playing video games, computer, iPhone, etc. he chose shooting! Good for the son and dad for taking him to the range.

Hey OP, I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I have a question about your Remington 20ga. PM me if you don't want to talk about it here.

I'm contemplating a Remington 20ga compact jr as HD. Can adults comfortably use that?

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.
