Who makes a nice 9mm AR upper conversion

Took my daughter out this weekend and ran some ammo through her AR build. Looks like .223 is a little much for her right now, and the rifle is a little on the heavy side. Who makes a nice 9mm upper conversion that she can start out with?

Put a muzzle brake on it for her. The 9mm is going to be just as heavy so it depends on whether you put a keymod or quad rail on it. If anything just throw in a .22lr conversion in the AR and shoot cheaper until she gets used to the weight of the rifle then move her back up.

Don't get me wrong. 9mm is fine but you could just keep her bench shooting until she feels comfortable with .223

That's a good point protohyp. I think the main reason I was thinking 9mm was to have a step up from her bolt action .22 . Plus the 9mm being a little louder would condition her as a "step up". Thanks guys

I would look at PSA for the price.

Since you already have a 556 AR all you need is a complete upper and magwell version kit.

I have found that my 9mm AR moves more then my 3 gun AR.
The 9mm is a blow back systems and there is a surprising amount of movement on it.
Have her try someones 9mm AR before investing in one for her.

Yep, ramped is the way to go if you are swapping uppers on your standard lower.

Im not sure i would suggest a brake to help with the recoil. Depending what was too much for her. If it was the noise....you can get a flash can or similar.

Or even a 22lr
