    ATF Multiple Reporting feedback

Found a deal for 10 stripped lowers that I cannot pass on. Don't really care if the FFL reports it as multiple sale, but wondered if anyone has actually been contacted by ATF post the submission.

I am assuming that it qualifies for reporting, but please correct me if that is wrong.

    Thanks

In several border states, CA is one, multiples are reported.

Unless you are a trader or selling items, it is no big deal.

If you are selling as a private person and buying multiples, you might appear buyer on the radar.

I have purchased multiple firearms that were reported to BATFE. Nothing happened and my dogs are still alive.

Stripped lowers are NOT semi auto rifles so, there is no requirement to notify anyone. At least, that's what I was told.

That said, I've purchased 2 dozen lowers in a single transaction a few years back and haven't been contacted yet. Well, the little green men contacted and probed me but, they told me that they were not with the ATF.

          Lowers do not get reported.

Multiple sales of handguns or semi-auto centerfire rifles do.

IF anyone should happen to come to your door to ask questions, politely tell them to piss up a rope then close the door.

Are you 100% sure about that? I could have sworn there was an opinion that sales of multiple lowers in border states have to be reported. I collect guns and have bought multiples at times but never something like multiple Glocks or AR's and I try to avoid buying multiple handguns I don't need the headache or aggravation of a visit.

I like to think that ATF and DOJ generally have the sense to see someone buying multiple bolt action 22's or French WW1 era guns is probably not flipping them in lucrative business moves nor is a threat or some sort of terrorist. Their time would be much better spend investigating elsewhere. I'm pretty boring in most ways.
