    First time stippling a gun.

I have been trying my hand at stippling lately and mainly practicing on Pmags. I have been pretty happy with my results on the Pmags but I have never tried a gun until now. Tonight I did my first gun and I'm not sure how I feel about it.. I think I like it but honestly the whole time I was doing it I was just so nervous I'd mess up.

Why did you stippled ? is it to feel better in hand or just the look.

The grips look ok but the upper looks like poop to me. Sorry. First thing that popped into my head was. Another XDS trashed

The stipplings main purpose is to add grip for better control of the gun, secondary is looks.

Good thing it's not your gun. I'd say telling me I trashed my gun is a little harsh but hey I guess you're entitled to your opinion.

          Thank you EspoMan.

That's not a bad stippling job. I've seen so many that are worse.

Looks good. Looks aggressive enough to work also. Took guts to do it. It's your gun and your work don't let the putter downs of the world get to you. After all you actually did it and it compares in apearence to work others charge for.

In my opinion you could have gotten the same results with skateboard tape or Talon grips, and you wouldn't ruin the resale value in the off chance you might need to sell that gun.

The same could be said for all stippling, so I guess it's fair to say youre not a fan of stippling in general. I'm not worried about resale value. some of my guns do have Talon grips and you're right they work great, but I chose to go the stippling route on this one.

You need to shoot it before judging the work
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
                      (thanks to Jeff Cooper)
