    OOW 1919 owners

For my 4K$, will I get a firearm that works 100% or are these tinkering/project guns? Can they ship the 1000 links to CA? How much work is converting it with the included kit to 30.06?

Shop around you can do better, go to 1919a4.com and look around.

They can send links but you can only link 10 at a time unless you bought that belt before the ban and wrapped it past the 10th round.

Learn the gun before worrying about doing a caliber swap. They require knowledge of the gun but once you know it you can swap them and be back running.

OOW makes a good gun. The 1919 itself can be a touch challenging no matter how good the build. They are very sensitive to using ammunition with the correct OAL.

        ^^what they said +1.
My 1919 only shoots NATO 7.62. Once its head spaced it runs smooth and as fast as I can feed it.

The links are easy to get and available from a few vendors. Its also been fun and easy to get the A6 configuration.

Any thought of building one yourself?
Its a super easy build with a ton of resources out there.
        Happy shooting!
But I don't come 'round here to meet nice people anyway

There's a really good looking one in the marketplace here. I kind of want to buy it, but haven't done any research into them. Sure seem like fun though.

Pretty much the same as what was already said. Mine like GI ammo, they HAVE to be headspaced or they don't run right. Don't expect any aftermarket stuff to be consistent gun to gun. I bought a pair of spade grips and they won't fit any of my guns without modification. Fun guns though, I highly recommend buying one.

Wow, they cost that much now? Geez I remember buying a rebuilt one that used an unissued Israeli 1919 parts kits for $900 bucks. I threw in a 1919 A6 kit ($125) then eventually sold it cause it was essentially a 40 pound 308 semi. Should have kept it if they're going for 4k now.

Doubtful, the ad posted is $2,200 for all the stuff and right where the market value of it should be. Saw another go a month or so back for about $2,500, think it came with more then the above ad.

If you pay $4K for one all you're doing is making someone else happy!

Gunslingers has one for $3200 I think with tripod (around 3500 OTD). Not sure if they deal over there.

OOW made a pretty decent gun. There's actually not a lot that can go wrong with a semi 1919 build. The semi sear parts and cuts are critical, and a good sideplate is a must (OOW made a good one).
The rest of the parts are all USGI.
