Anyone have experience with this ffl ? Does he charge sales tax for guns shipped to him from out of state dealers ? There are a few bad yelp reviews stating he added 10% sales tax. I want to have a gun shipped from grab a gun and need a new bay area ffl since Digital Instincts is closing up shop.

FFLs are required to collect sales tax for out of state transfers. Rob is not the bad guy.
In any case, Rob is a great FFL. No hassle, no drama, fast paperwork. -
OP, why do you believe those Yelp reviews? They're for stupid people who have no common sense and believe everything on the internet. Rob has been in the business for a long time and you won't go wrong with doing busines with him. Ask the CA DOJ what they think of RMB and see what they say. That's endorsement enough.

Rob is GTG. Be aware he isn't usually open on Saturday or Sunday. I've done 4 FFL deals with him.I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

Another vote for Rob.
CA DOJ requires FFLs to collect sales tax on out of state transfers. There is a letter that has been circulated from the DOJ informing FFLs of this. So don't blame the FFL.
In the past, Rob has collected the appropriate rate from me. So I have no issues with him and have and will go back when I have transfers.
Just did one last month with him for a R700 from Grab-a-gun and the process went very smoothly in fact.Comment

He doesn't hang on to your guns for 11 days -
He only gives you 15 minutes to be in and out - Ain't enough time for me to fill out the forms -
He only works on certain days / hours -

He allows jokers to take their wheel guns apart and convert it - In his office -
His office is filled with the aroma from Jenny Craig -

If you're trusting yelp, you're the wrong customer for him.
Rob is top notch and cares about the gun community..................he is long winded, but a good man and great for the community
Ive done over 30 transactions with him,
and he rocks...................
did I mention he is long winded and keeps you in his shop longer than you want to be there?
He is one of the patriots that was one of the original FFl's to accept OLL's in the early days,
when all the other ffl's were scared!
Did I mention he Rocks?
