UOC + spouses

After being online coming across information on UOC, I wanted to see if anyone OCs around Alameda Co (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?p=1691768).

After converting my new bride to be Pro-2A, I thought she'd agree to allow me - apparently not. She says since I live on the outskirts of the "Hot spot" in Oakland (the 20s), it would (a) make our house a target for burglaries, and (b) makes me a target for robberies.

I think I'll stand-down this time ... I mean, she did finally allow me to pick up an AR15 =D. But I think at the very least, I should OC at night.

How do/ did you guys work it out with your spouses/ partners?

Which is why unarmed people get robbed a lot, but Cops do not.

Of course it's illegal so I wouldn't recommend it, but if you are going somewhere that concerns you just CC. If you need to defend yourself I would think it would work itself out, if not no one should ever know. If somehow you get caught the first time is a misdemeanor.

She knows better. And I am pretty sure that when I walked out of my friends 30'th birthday party because someone had a problem and told her I would rather get new friends than compromise my beliefs I think she gets the point of how serious I am.

I think it was L.A. 1984, big guy wearing sunglasses at night storms the precinct by ramming a car through the front door and shoots up the joint. No, wait...I think that might have been a movie...

This one was behind a police station last month. Shooting at Ark. university kills 2, wounds 1

It is not illegal to OC, as long as the weapon is unloaded....I would also not suggest in CC..Yea you might be able to argue self defense, but any charge for weapons violation even misd. are causes to not have firearm privileges.. Please correct me if im wrong....

wow telling people to cc with out a licence? why not tell them to sell all their guns at least then when all their guns are gone they'll have money to show for it.

My loving wife of 20 years (next week) long ago learned that I don't ask for her permission to do anything. Yes, we discuss things as partners, but she doesn't "allow me" anything, nor do I, her.

Man up. The first few months of your marriage is setting your future boundaries. Trust me.
