OP, did you check the LE forum here? There's probably thread over there with the same title written by the guy that pulled you over.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Americans have become frightened rabbits before "their" Govt.

What should have happened is you should've berated the cop for doing such petty crap like fix it tickets on what is obviously a fairly well cared for car by a middle class citizen.

Fix-it tickets are for stuff like commercial operators or multiple major violations.

I usually take the keys out and place them on the dash at the 12 position above the steering wheel then place my hands at the 10 and 2 on the wheel... Never heard anything about my actions

I would be interested to see the responses from LEOs about their opinion on seeing someone's hands on the wheel when they do a stop. Maybe someone should post a thread in the LEO section and ask them.

I would do it but I'm scared of cops.

I always put my hands on the wheel, roll the windows down and put the car in park. It is out of respect, but i'm used to my Florida CCW and that's just what i've always done. When in Florida I always used to tell the officer "Sir before I give my license and reg. I want to let you know i'm a valid CCW holder and i'm currently carrying in my waistband.".

I've never had an issue, and even got out of a ticket once when a state trooper was a fan of my Glock 29.
