Got my AK cerakoted is this normal

    FullSizeRender (1).jpg
So I got my Ak cerakoted from a very reputable company. I got home and put together my riffle and as soon as i moved the gas tube lever to lock into place bam bare metal. Now I understand they will get the wear arc from the safety and I would beleive i would get a wear here also but not only having the riffle for 2 hours shouldnt cerakote if done rite hold up a little better.

If the fit is tight, that is normal.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

I recently had my AR15 upper and lower cerakote and when I installed the buffer tube into the lower, I heard a gritty sand like sound as I installed it. After threading it all the way in, I removed the buffer tube and used a tooth brush to clean out the lower. Some of the "extra" cerakote was removed but not to the point where it was bare metal. Reinstalled the buffer tube and all was good to go. I know that is not the same as the AK contact points in the OP's post and yes, that will always happen because of the nature of just how much contact it makes.

Why Cerakote an AK? Just rub it down with some gravel and call it good.

You'll have a line where your safety/fire-selector slides up and down too. It'll take some use but they all have it where there is metal on metal contact.

What I'm more concerned with is why you have plastic handguards. That is a lot more serious defect.

Hope you never drop it in the dirt...

I dropped my AK one stinking time, and it looked like this...

Notice it too has a scratch where the gas tube lever has moved... Oh the horror!!!
