Ca resident says no sales to Ca

So this guy is from California and says "No sales to California or wherever prohibited by law". I wonder if its a registered AW cause it does not look like it has a bb or prince 50 on.

and its a lower so you dont need to have a prince 50 or bb
you would have to change the stock to do a featureless centerfire build though

He may be an FFL/Dealer. If the Kahr p9 is not on the approved Ca list he is unable to sell in California legally.

This is what happens when a Democrat gets an FFL. I bet he has an Obama sticker on his car.

This really bugs me. They should just post on GunBroker that "If you are a buyer from California, don't waste your time bidding. We have a bunch of fair weather Second Amendment supporters who are to lazy or stupid to read the law." Jerks.

Some dealers wont consign off list handguns either and buy them instead and sell them out of CA which is bs.

Witness it with my own eyes. A guy at Turners even bragged about it.

Maybe they don't like dealing with consignment merchandise. It's a free country, and the FFLs can miss out on it if they want to.

So you think it's cool when off list handguns are sold out of state by a CA ffl? I don't and try not to do business with those that do.

Their business their rules. My wallet, I decide where to shop.

I think if the customer doesn't care, and the gun shop doesn't want to deal with the CRAPLOAD of extra forms necessary to sell consignment (I believe it gets treated like a pawn shop, with a whole new set of things to deal with), that the shop and customer are free to do as they will.

I wouldn't ever sell an off-list handgun out of state, but I'm not the type to sell guns period.

Precisely my point. They can do what they will, you can do what you will.

However, I'm not going to get upset at a shop for not being willing to undertake a bunch of additional paperwork and such.

Even Turners accpets off list handguns for consignment, so that is surprising, I don't think it's all that much more paperwork.

Of course stores and customers are free to do what they wish legally but where do you draw the line? For instance, would you buy stuff at a store that won't do OLL AND spreads FUD that they are illegal and the owners/sellers are going to jail?

I've noticed lately that lots of these guys on Gunbroker won't ship any firearms to California any more - it isn't just OLL stuff. They don't want to ship to our FFL holders anymore because of all the hassles.

Not sure, personally. I think it adds pawn shop type paperwork, but I could be completely wrong here.

Nope, but I'm perfectly fine with them doing so. They simply don't get my business.

I pretty much got chased out of Socal Guns a few years ago for asking about OLL's, and when I dropped in to see them selling OLL's and Sig rifles, the manager looked a bit glum when I observed that I've spent over $30k on EBRs in between then and now.

Money will chase away FUD far more than anything else will. You're welcome to tell the dealers your business has gone to place X because they offer consignment, and they're welcome to ignore you PERSONALLY. But when they've got a number of other folks doing the same, they're likely to re-evaluate their policies the next time they're trying to get a profit together.
