Looking for a Florida CCW Class in the Bay Area

Anybody knows where and when will there be a class available around the Bay Area? Thanks in advance.

Don't "think" you need a CCW Class for Florida.

You might be confusing a Florida CCW class with a Utah CCW class?

You do not "need" to complete a class to satisfy Florida's requirements for a non-resident CCW. Some places may offer an "approved course of instruction" and offer to assist you in completing the rest of the applcation paperwork.

According to Packing.org in order to satisfy the training requirements:
eight different records can be accepted such as DD214, NRA/State training course, hunter safety, etc.

          Ditto what M1371 said.

You don't need a Florida specific course or a specific Florida approved instructor. The course I took last July was taught by an NRA certified instructor. He gave me a certificate specifying I had attended a certain number of hours of safety instruction. He signed it and listed his NRA instructor number. A copy of that certificate with the other paperwork got me the Florida license.

Thanks for the replies guys! I guess I misunderstood something. That is good to know, I already have a Utah CCW and would like to get Florida and Nevada as well. Thanks again!

Here's the website for the Florida CCW info. You can order your application on-line w/ everything you need.

If you've already completed the Utah non-res CCW, do you still have the certificate showing you did the course? There is a chance that FL might accept that as valid proof of training. Give them a call and ask: (850) 245-5691

As for getting a CCW in Nevada, be aware that if you do the class anywhere in Clark County you'll be required to register your handguns with LVMPD and get a little blue card issued to you before you can submit your application.
