    Steel target question

I recent purchased a steel silhouette target that needs to be tilted downward as per the sticker on the rear. The silhouette has holes for bolts on the top, what's the best way to mount it to ensure I don't get hit by a ricochet and what distances should I maintain when shooting ? I assumed it would have been mounted via 2x4 in the back. Thanks

    Get some chain.
    Get some bolts.
    Get some washers.
    Get some nuts.
Run the bolts through through the chain, through a few washers, through the back of the target, and into the nuts.
When you hang your target by the chain it'll be be hanging at an angle towards the ground.
Shoot it at 25 yards or greater for pistols while wearing eye protection. The chance of catching a ricochet is small, but not none.

Here's a thread from a Calguns vendor with what you are looking for. I have purchased from Steve, he's very quick to build and ship.

Who makes the target? Don't they have a stand for it or design it so that you can mount it on your own 2x4 or something?

Mine always seem to swing pretty face on that way. Yea they tilt a little bit but i don't think it's enough angle for the recommended angle. I bury my torso steel tilted forward. Shooting 45 acp the closest shrapnel from shooting at 10 yards has been about 20 feet. Happy and safe shooting.

i got the targets from industrial metal supply. The torso was about $112, they didnt have any way to mount them there but I thought the price was reasonable
