help...does anyone have knowledge about colt double action 45mm.
specifically, does this particular handgun have a firing block safety??

I'm assuming you mean the double eagle since you specified .45, and not the 2000 since that was in 9mm.

The Double Eagle was more like a turkey. It had a ridiculously long DA pull and wasn't particularly accurate for me.
