.32naa anyone

I haven't seen anyone here say anything positive or negative about the .32naa cartridge. What do you guys think?

I don't recall the north american arms guardian pistols ever being on the CA roster. I doubt many(if any) were SSE'd in a proprietary cartridge like that, so getting real feedback from users would be a rarity.

Yeah, it seems like a pretty mediocre cartridge that no other manufacturer has really jumped on since it doesn't appear to offer anything in terms of performance or form factor(since it still uses a .380 frame and slide).

I like bottleneck pistol cartridges and I like the concept of 25NAA and 32NAA but I don't want to deal with the proprietary caliber so I never tried to acquire one or to convert a gun to it. I have a NAA Guardian but in 32acp.

Keep in mind this is from a guy that has guns in 50+ different chamberings so if I think a caliber is too obscure or a pain to deal with that tells you something!

I think the concept is somewhat sound. I'd like to see replacement barrels for it for use with .380 pistols like Colt Mustang, Sig P238, Ruger LCP, Ruger LC380.

If you don't mind me asking, for the sake of curiosity... why?

It doesn't seem to have any improvement over .380 on paper worth mentioning. I've never read about it doing anything special with regard to terminal ballistics. It's not like a .357 sig or 7.62 tokarev where you can actually get the pressure high enough to include a velocity increase that makes a difference, or the really high velocity like 5.7. I doubt anyone is going to do anything that isn't completely custom for any of the guns you've listed considering it's been 13 years with no noticeable interest out of anyone. Same goes for .25naa. It's like they say the .357 sig and decided "me too!".

Obscure cartridges have always had someone to love and treasure them. Kinda like sports teams who haven't been to the playoffs in decades.

I myself love the .257 Roberts. The .257 Roberts has more than 80 years of history; there are many thousands of old rifles chambered in this cartridge. At one point in time it was quite well known, got lots of attention. It was a great idea for that time and worked well. Time and newer rifle calibers have passed it by. It's still popular enough that there are actually a few brand new .257 Roberts rifles still being made. Lots of reloading components and equipment. It's obscure but still has a minimum basic popularity.

The .32 NAA has none of that except obscurity.
