$70/year for hat creek rifle and pistol club. This gives me the gate code for 24/7/365 access, shooting from sunup to sundown, free dry camping, only restriction no campfires. Beautiful covered range with steel out to 760yds, at 3000ft in the pine trees. My favorite range.
Edit: Unlimited free guests, 3 separate firing lines pointing different directions so no interference by scheduled matches, and an awesome bbq area for meat cooking!sigpicComment

My club here in NC is $204/yr.
That includes outdoor range to 300 yds, 9 bay 70 yd action shooting facility, and 25 yd indoor range with 24/7 access for members.
Logging hours to maintain the ranges reduces dues.

Looks like Oak Tree just raised their price to $350/yr. ANyone else think this is kind of excessive for what you're getting?Comment

Yes, it is. It was already excessive at $250/year, and even more excessive at $300. They will have to make many, many improvements to make it worth that much.Originally posted by CSACANNONEERKeep in mind that you don't have a clue.Comment

West End Gun Club limited members only have access to the main (supervised) range on Fri-Sun. From 7-5? or so. When an RO is present.
Full members at $240/yr have 24 hour access, and access to the back bays where you call your own line breaks, shoot from holster, shoot while moving... whatever you want. I've shot there at 2:00AM a few times. Limited members are not allowed to camp or in the back bays except as a guest of a full member, or while participating in a match.
They allow full members to camp on site- gas grills only. They allow full members to indulge in adult beverages in the back bays as long as all firearms/ammo have been put away... So.. shoot, setup camp, setup your gas grill have dinner and a drink... It's all good.
They normally have a shotgun range, 200 and 550yd rifle pads, about 12? private pistol bays.
Also have action pistol, IDPA, precision rifle, silhouette, 3gun. Open to anyone.Last edited by postal; 04-29-2015, 5:38 PM.Comment

Can u explain how the camping works at WEGC? Are there restroom facilities? Ive only been to the main range and they have porterpotties.Visit www.npfreedom.com for discounted firearm parts and accessoriesComment

No running water at WEGC. porta only, and water tanks to wash your hands- not for drinking.
Far as I know, this is for full members only- not limited.
Look at the club rules on the website. It says something about camping. I've done it twice. People normally camp in the open area across the road from the Jr's range. This is just inside the back gate, left side of the road- next to the side berm of the main rifle range.
Also pay attention to the posted schedule so you know what to expect in the AM- a weekend might have a rifle competition that would require you to leave the back area, or Tues-Thurs 500 yd shoot available if someone shows up, and you would also have to leave the back area.
I dont *think* its common for people to camp, but you can. I've only done it for 2 day competitions where the entire back area was closed the whole weekend, and a number of other competitors chose to camp on site as well. (for the competition, match competitors were allowed to camp regardless of membership) Several full members were also camping on site for gate access if there was a need.
At the competition, a couple RV's/ camping trailers, some tents, some people sleep in their vehicle- a few gas grills- We'd grill dinner, pop open a few beers, hit the sack, and get up in the AM to finish the 2nd day of the competition. That was a few yrs ago- 2012? That annual match no longer exists.Last edited by postal; 04-29-2015, 5:48 PM.Comment
