    Can Cannon Anyone?

I recently got an email from joebobs, letting me know that they now have the can cannon. But, with a price tag of $399.99, I'm not sure that I can justify the purchase. It looks like it would be a fun toy, and hell maybe I could even launch a can at a home invader as a less lethal option

Wasn't sure about this, but this video kinda made me want one. Seems it can shoot just about anything you're able to shove down the barrel. Maybe even a new wave of "Air Soft" type fun with tennis balls. Skip to 1:26 if you don't want to watch the intro (fun video though).

I think I'll pass for now, and look for one used down the road...

Watching the video, I was cringing every time the dude was stuffing a projectile into the muzzle with his finger on the trigger. Seems like a good way to injure oneself if you accidentally chamber a blank before loading a can.

Would be fun to use with my lab who is absolutely nuts about chasing tennis balls.

Can cannon is okay, it is limited fun. In Phoenix they put a fifty gallon drum 125 yards down range, if you got it in the can you won a free Can Can. The aerodynamics of a can of soda is pretty random though, so it gets boring pretty fast. If they made something that looks like a small mortar shell with fins, it would be more consistent and more fun.

I mean if I had the chance where permitted, I think a m79 and a couple cases of 40mm chalk rounds would be a fun afternoon at the range!

Looks like I'll be picking up a lot more cans & tennis balls at BLM. Uhh, no, I'll pass!

It is considered a destructive device in California. Just like the golf ball launcher. There is a DOJ letter floating around Calguns somewhere on the legality of the golf ball launcher. The letter stated it was not a destructive device unless it was attached to a firearm. So basically what this means if you want a can cannon don't put it on your rifle until you hit the Arizona state line and make sure you take it off before you come back.
