    Buying a pallet of ammo?

I'm starting to get tired of having to purchase ammo every 5-6 weeks because I shoot a lot. What's the best way to go about purchasing a pallet of 9mm practice ammo at a very reasonable price? How much ammo is in a pallet anyway?

Call Freedom Munitions. They sell pallets of ammo. 9k - 22k cost.

You'll most likely have to work with a distributor / wholesaler, since major manufacturers won't sell to you directly, unless you want to go with a smaller name ammo manufacturer. The question is whether or not a distributor will sell you that much ammo without an FFL. I'm not saying there is a legal issue, but more so because the distributor wants to maintain a level of standard for it's FFL / dealer clients.

EDIT: Looks like glock_this has you covered.

          $22k is 100k 115 gr HP reloads.
          $20k for 100k 115 gr RN reloads.
          $21k for 100k 124 gr RN reloads

If I'm going to spend $10k or more, I am expecting to be paying less than 20 cents per round.

If you shot 1000 rounds per week, that would last almost 2 years. If I were shooting that much I think I would reload rather than spend $ .22/rd for factory ammo. I don't reload but, I've heard reloading could get that down to maybe 8-10 cents per round if you recycle your brass? That would be a savings of around $12K, over that same two year period. $12K is a huge opportunity cost.

                I buy by the pallet

.20 + Shipping for reloads can be done

Factory new loads would be more in the .24-.26 range but no shipping fees

I'm thinking if you were serious, you would already know.

You shoot that much you should reload.

Good luck with that. $10k is chump change in the ammo world.

                          Yup, pretty much.

I spent $100k with one guy last year, and I am a small fish.
