    Help Revolver Grip

Ok calgunners. Just picked up this used revolver. From what I can tell it is an FIE standard .38. My question is how can I figure out what type of replacement grip might fit this bad boy? The existing one has a single screw on the bottom. I am hoping to put on a thicker rubber one.

    any ideas? thanks

    Man....

That is going to be hard one to find a fit for.

    Have you shot it yet?
The reason I ask is that many of the cheap import guns of that period didn't shoot reliably or accurately.
Hence if your alloy framed and steel barreled pistol doesn't shoot well. A bigger, better grip won't help it.

To be honest. These guns have a much less than stellar reputation.
Who knows. Maybe yours is a shooter.

Good luck on your endeavors. ! ! !

I wish I could be of more help.

Thanks. I've got an XD for all of the heavy lifting. This was just a super cheap deal on something for me to keep in a secondary location. Have not had a chance to shoot it yet.

you could try Gun parts corp. or maybe jack first... maybe eBay or keep posting a want to buy here.

but I agree with someone said about I test it out make sure you put a whole bunch down range in testing before you go putting any money into a new grip.

if you don't care about looks and like you say you're just looking for a thicker rubber grip...

you could test out the "eighties gangster" look of rubber bands. you might even be able to find a black rubber bands, like cut up pieces of tire bike tire inner tubes.

That's awesome. I'm not above trying it. I was thinking about tennis racket grip tape just to thicken it up
