    OC in AZ?

Ok, I am heading to the Zone for thanksgiving. From what I have read on line, it looks like AZ is still an open carry state. What have you guys heard about this? Do you think I'll have any problems carrying out on hikes in the boonies? I don't normally here.

Just dont carry into restaurants serving alcohol. Which consists of most of the restaurants there.

^That's about it. Not only have I witnessed it, I have open carried in AZ. Once you leave the larger cities it's very common, and common enough in the large cities you'll probably have few notice or remark on it.

BTW, there's a barber in Wickenburg wears a revolver while he cuts hair--such eccentricity is normal in small town AZ.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

I OC quite often around here. Ocasionally I do get funny stares from ladies looking like they are ready to faint (must be ex-Californians ). Had a few people ask me about the legalities of OC, but in a very nice and friendly manner. Haven't had anyone hitting the floor and yelling "GUN!!!!!"

Man oh man, I loved visiting my friends and family in AZ.

I even OC'd into the Police Station when going for my polygraph. Got there, checked out a locker key and locked it up, then proceeded into the 'controlled area'

I close escrow on my house in 30 days!!! Can't wait!!!!!

Or is it restaurants that make most of their money on booze? But that might be NV.

In AZ it's anyplace alcohol is served.

In NV you can drink while carrying-- legal limit is 0.1 (driving is 0.08)

i lived in phoenix for a year and people OC'd all over the place. it's common enough that nobody really pays attention. just dont get caught with a pot seed -or you'll spend your vacation in tent city.

As stated. no open or CCW in places that serve alcohol. You can go into a store to buy it. Also no OC or CCW on school grounds.

If your gonna spend a couple of days.. you might want to spend the 40-50 bucks and take the class for CCW...its really worth it.

                          Have fun

you should take the ccw class while your there so next time you can go either way

Do you have to be an AZ resident to take the class for CCW in AZ? How easy is to obtain a CCW in AZ?

I have lived in Phoenix for 4 years and went to ASU. Only wish i got into this hobby back there, Doh! It would have skewed my decision of moving to the PRK....But back on topic, yes, OC is very normal in AZ

Now the more i think about this, the more i want to move back to AZ
