I'm going to have to sell my AR-15 and want to include the 1000 rounds of ammo. Can I include this in the sale? They are not reloads.

    Yes you can.

If you want to sell Your ammo along with the rifle. You can do that here with no problem. You might make more money by selling them separately.

You're an FFL having a sale or are you wanting to sell a rifle?

FFL is federal firearms license. In CA you have to go to FFL to sell. FFLs are usually gun stores but some people run it through their residence. What u want to do is post it on the long gun for sale section. Then u have to meet them at a FFL to do a PPT (private party transfer). U both fill out paperwork (buyer fills out more).

U can sell ammo with the firearm. u let the FFL keep the firearm and one mag and the rest of the accessories/ammo can be given to buyer. The buyer will have to wait 10 days to pick up the firearm from the FFL.

You don't need to leave a magazine or even the whole rifle at the FFL. I'd give the buyer everything except the lower before going in the shop. The shop will be happy they only have to store the lower. Buyer just brings the upper and a magazine at pickup for the safe handling demonstration.

                          1. Go ahead and place an ad here on Calguns to sell your rifle and ammo. When you and a buyer agree to sell and buy.

                          2. Meet the buyer at an FFL. (Gunstore) after the buyer inspects the rifle and agrees to buy.

                          3. He hands you the money.

                          4. You and he fill out paperwork with the FFL.

                          5. You are done.

Ask as many questions as you want so your sale goes well.

Yea, under no circumstance do you sell or let the buyer take the gun without doing the transfer at the gun store.. It's a felony
