I carry daily and for those that are not able to I can tell you it is nice

Just out of curiosity, why do you carry? I dont mean this to be disresepctful or anything. Is it a "because I can" type thing?

If the Sheriff walked into my home one day and said "Andrew, congratulations, heres your CCW license", I would exercise the s*** out of that privilege, desite having no apparent or necessary reason to do so.

Some Sheriffs and PD Chiefs will issue you a CCW simply because your Good Cause is essentially "Personal Protection". Most probably are not that "easy" or "good." The question to ask yourself is "what puts me at greater risk than the general population?" That's your good cause. If that is sufficient for your Sheriff or PD Chief, great! If not... you probably live in a more restrictive county. (I certainly do.)

There are several reasons why I carry daily....

I travel throughout the state on business and at times am obliged to carry large amounts of currency received as payments for goods received. I am also not 20 anymore which means that while I still have the fortitude to physically defend myself the fact remains that age has begun to rear its ugly head. I have no desire nor the time to stand toe to toe with somebody that wants to do me harm so as I age the gun becomes the equalizer.

Furthermore, the days of fist fights are probably a thing of the past and given that the criminals have become more violent I at least like to have a fighting chance to even the playing field.
