    Password-protected bullets

    As if microstamping, biometrics and all that other stuff weren't enough, someone is coming up with a means to "password protect" bullets to make sure that ammunition can only be fired from certain guns.

    Yeah, we kind of have that already? If you notice, if you try to fire or load a .45 ACP in a gun chambered for 9mm, it won't fire...

    So obviously the solution is to make a different caliber for the same model of gun for each individual out there!

      uhhh...I don't know a single 'enthusiast' that would accept this inconvenience and unneccessary complication even if it was 1/2 the price of 'simple' ammunition.

        I can see ruger trying to accomplish this. So they can make a deal with an ammo company to be the primary supplier.

        Anyways ammunition would be too costly.

        Although I can see an a govt org doing this w/ their full auto handguns/rifles for security reasons.

          yeah but you can put a 9mm in 40 s&w and it will fire

          I've only seen this done, not from personal experiance... yeah right
