So my Mossberg 44US has a hair trigger, like really light. This is kind of an issue because sometimes the firing pin won't reset, sometimes it will drop upon closing the bolt (thus setting off a round) and then sometimes it will perform as planned.
Now, I haven't taken it out for hunting or anything yet but at this moment it is limited to a bench gun and I want it to be a gun I can walk around and hunt with and not fear an unwanted (accidental or negligent?) discharge and hurting someone/thing. That said, what can I do to the trigger to make it beefier and more reliable? Is there a guide somewhere or do I have to take it in the shorts and go to a gun shop?
