    No.

There is a range on the North side, East end of the lake, but it is only open on the weekend and it didn't appeal to me at all. They again not much compares to a full WEGC membership, so YMMV.

There are blm areas behind Fawnskin and out past baldwin lake, but they aren't anything great and seem to be closed most of the year due to fire season.

I don't believe there are any ranges that have big bears you can shoot.

If you want to shoot a big bear you need to get a hunting license and go into the hills and find one.

Thanks. Didn't want to waste a drive out there.

Up Hwy 330 is a fire access road 1N09 I used to shoot there some years back, don't know what the current status is but it would be fun to find out.

That was often closed as well, but those areas could be open with the cooler weather. The lack of rain probably hasn't helped and we have had some hot days, so who knows? You would have to contact the San Bernardino forest service or go on their web site. It has been years since I have shot at 1N09 as well.

Once I found the local competitions, I stuck to those as they were always open. Later, I found WEGC and can now plink whenever I want, so I have not bothered with BLM. A friend wanted to shoot at the big bear range, but I didn't even bother after reading the web site for the range.

1N09 is where I went to shoot as a teen, after Lytle Creek got too scary for my dad, brother, and I.
