    Help identifying Ammunition

Grandpa had some old ammo packed away. Doesn't remember exactly what they are for.

    Any help. Thanks.

2 kinds one is PS 1948 (I think, 7mm 7x57) I don't know what it is. Whether it's corrosive or what firearms will fire it.

The other I think says FNM 73-4 perhaps 8mm? What rifle, corrosive?

    Thanks again.

Do you own calipers? If so, measure the bullets and post the results. That will help a lot more than the headstamps.

Portuguese 8mm Mauser ammo for the FMN 73-4. 7,9 MM M/937 BALA NORMAL HEADSTAMP FNM 73-4. The PS-1948 is 7mm Mauser of Spanish origin. I would assume all foreign surplus military ammo from that era is corrosive.
