Many of us would argue that George Zimmerman was 100% a case of Stand Your Ground. Unfortunately, Martin's doing so resulted in his death at the hands of Zimmerman.

I generally agree with this with the exception of the Florida movie theater shooting. To me, shooting someone in response of them throwing popcorn at you is over the top.

Right, I wasn't saying the FL theater shooting was justified(it was worthy of a response, not escalating it straight to shooting).

But yeah, people in society on a fairly regular basis now will immediately throw the concept of being responsible for your own actions right out the window and blame everyone else for reacting. The gentle giant could have made probably 4 or 5 yes/no decisions, and had he decided just one of them correctly and quit his BS, Wilson never would have gotten to the point of needing to shoot him as a response to anything.

Now Wilson is a cop, so I guess that's not the typical "gun rights" argument, but this certainly is:
