    Shooting range around Six Flags

Are there any ranges in the area? I might be driving some people up there (girl is involved) and I am not a big fan of amusement parks. Instead, I would like to get a little more intimate with my new .22 and a few other neglected pieces in the collection.

    Any suggestions?

A Place to Shoot is about 15 min from there.

Angeles range is not too far from there either (maybe another 20 min?) -- great range, nice facilities.

Near Valencia is the Wes Thompson shooting range in Piru.

Huge area with all kinds of ranges and events.

A Place to Shoot is right up the road from MM. About 15 minutes away. It's a pretty nice range. Pretty mellow compared to the busy nature of Angeles, as an example.

It's pretty similar to angeles on the pistol side of things with regards to having metal targets and such.

Rifle range-wise, it's targets out to 100 yards and after that you can shoot for metal targets out to about 400 yards. But it's up hill. The 400 yard target is way up on a hill side.

Anyway, it's a pretty nice range.

100yds sounds juuuust fine for me. I am not good enough to be wasting Mosin ammo at farther ranges. I will just stick with the 10/22, the 44US, the A-105, Single Six and MKII

Come on up and say hi - I'm an RO there on the weekends. I'll be up on rifle.
I'm only smiling at you while you talk to me because it's hilarious that you really think I give a crap about you.

As I've gotten older I thought I was gaining patience, then I realized I simply don't give a crap.

Ah, we've met! I was there with my boys once when our Mosin locked up. You loaned me a screwdriver. I remember your helpfulness. Thanks!

Not really that close. More like 35mi on roads and closer to an hour in travel time.
Better to go to Piru or Place to Shoot.
