    Swiss 5.56 ammo charger

Anyone ever used these Swiss .223 ammo on plastic stripper clips?
The USGI stripper guide doesn't work. Is there a source for a compatible clip charger?

Anyone ever chronographed the above ammo using a more common barrel length like 20", 18", or 16"?

Picked up a case last week, it's very nice ammo. It was easy to strip the rounds off the clips by hand.

Get yourself a StripLULA, problem solved. I use it with or without the stripper clips, works well.

Really? I asked Maglula and the CEO said the StripLULA does not work with polymer Swiss stripper clips.

That would be odd, when you tried to use the Swiss stripper clips with your USGI stripper guide, does it fit or is it too thick? I thought it didn't work because the polymer was too "bendy", flexes too much to allow for reliable feeding.

In the worst case scenario, I suppose you can take the rounds out from the Swiss polymer stripper clip and feed them directly into the StripLULA, which itself is also a stripper clip of sorts that can hold 10 rounds. You can load 10 loose rounds on the StripLULA and then push all 10 rounds into the mag in a single motion.

the Swiss probably use something like this-

This is British military contract M-16/AR-15 magazine speed loader.  This speed loader is used by all European NATO military forces to load M-16 magazines or their equivalent.

"This is British military contract M-16/AR-15 magazine speed loader. This speed loader is used by all European NATO military forces to load M-16 magazines or their equivalent."

of course Switzerland is not part of NATO but I bet they work.

I bought a striplula just for this ammo. BTW it is great ammo and very accurate, I just ordered another case from SGAMMO. The striplulu works but you have to push or pull the plastic strips out. You could sand them first but that would be a lot of extra work for little in return.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

The Swiss 5.56mm stripper clips (gray color) and stripper clip guide was designed for use with the SIG 550 series magazines.

The Swiss stripper clip & stripper clip guide are not STANAG compatible.

Supposedly, the NATO (Thermold) stripper clip guide can be modded to use the Swiss stripper clips. (I am unsure of this.)

Swiss 5.56mm stripper clip guide... (currently no one imports/sells this in the USA)

                  Solution to GECO Stripper Clips

you can use Thermold 10 Round M16/AR15 Mag Loader Md: MCM16AR1510. under $10, not as compact as a clip spoon but im curious if one gets chopped down how easy it will be...cheap enough to experiment.

                  Thanks to Buckster7777:

                  Previously attempted by BudgetGunNut:

StripLula works with the GECO stripper clips but the clip gets wedged in the track after the rounds are loaded. Takes another stripper clip to unlodge it free, which can result sometimes in a nice cut if you're not careful.

2nd time i've bought GECO since cost wise for other 5.56mm rounds (55gr) it's cheaper and comes in boxes of 50 rounds on clips (vs Federal ammo cans).

i feel that the metal stripper clips and brass casings/primers have a chance of reacting in long term storage if moisture is present and plastic somewhat negates that...then again it's brass-on-brass while on a clip.
