Posting Nergative Feedback if Buyer Backs Out

Not sure if this has been discussed, but here is the scenario:
Tuesday evening, after several PM's, Newbie Buyer and I agree to price, date, and place for PPT. Buyers says, "I'll take it for sure!"
Friday evening, buyer sends me PM saying he "couldn't wait", and buys a "different" pistol.
Not being extremely pleased, I send him a PM and let him know that "this is not the way to start a reputation on Calguns", and post Negative Feedback as seller.
    Are my actions warranted?
I miss the days when "your word" was your mark.
It's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the bottom.

It is unfortunate but there a lot of flakes out there.

Happens, and it sucks, don't think it warrants negative itrader rating though. Had the same thing happen to me recently.

I've had it happen several times in the last few weeks. Sucks, if you pass up other unconditional offers because of it. I think it should be negative feedback-able.

I think the CG rules for that are you can give a neutral rating but not a negative since you didn't lose (in theory) anything.
I agree it should be a negative but I think the mods would dump it if you did it.

Words don't matter to some of us, me included. Things like "PM sent" or "I'll take it" mean nothing to me. I'm old school by nature, not by word(s) People flake or change their mind all day long, that's just the nature of most anymore. I try to avoid negative feedback, if I get smoked it's gonna happen though. BTW, I should have a 55+ rating...
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!

I agree that a neutral, would be the corrrect feedback.

Me cause I'm nice, I would have sent a neutral.

But neg rating isn't exactly uncalled for if agreed upon and finalized.

Great question!! If they agree I think they should follow through. I've had sellers back out on me after agreeing to sell. Does that deserve negative itrader rating?

My biggest pet peeve in here.

I'm missing a good amount of returned and owed feedback here too. I should be around 50 +/- too. Some from some VERY active members who should know better.

                          A. It's just imaginary internet points.

                          2. Some dirty rat bastids don't have the common decency to give me imaginary internet points.

III. The worst of the rat bastids will give you a negative post in return for something that didn't even happen because they suck in the first place and this wouldn't be necessary if they didn't suck.

                          E. Be yourself, unless you suck. See 2 and III.

We take "I'll take it" very seriously here on Calguns, however there are only three levels of feedback and negative feedback must be reserved for actual monetary loss. The guidelines of feedback are location in the marketplace rules.

Your feedback has been changed to neutral.

                            17) iTrader ratings.
Negative feedback should be reserved for transactions where one party has lost either money or goods, or the delivered product is substantially different than advertised. Positive feedback is appropriate for a transaction with good communications between they parties involved and that completes in a timely manner. Neutral feedback is for everything else, including transactions which are not completed. Use the comment section to describe why you gave the rating you did. Retaliatory feedback is not tolerated and should be reported to a moderator. See Rule #16 regarding Marketplace Disputes.
You think you know, but you have no idea.

I think so as well. He says he takes it, he should keep his word or get out of the forum. We do not need that kind here.

^^^ Yes, there is a loss of other potential deals that did not happen because some douche gets drunk or smokes crack and changes his mind after commiting to a deal.
Once one posts that he will take it, he should go through with it. The only acceptable reason would be if he is enroute to a hospital or dead. That is keeping your word.
