No bullet from any rifle or handgun came from FIVE miles away.
.50 cal bullets will travel barely over 4 miles at optimal angle.
After 4.2 miles, we are talking cannon projectiles.

I seriously doubt it is from his rifle. Even if sent in a trajectory which would allow it to maintain enough velocity to cause injury...it probably would have gone into the ground before reaching 5 miles.
Have to wait for ballistics....also the fact his guy thinks it might have been him means he was not using a backstop..Comment

At that range? Massive velocity will have been shed, and then it had to punch through the RV (probably deforming a bit in the process) to get to her.
