    Auctions Getting Manipulated? Lower Receiver

I was watching an auction site, no ebay, of a firearms bizz closing up. A company was listing all their stuff. Lots and lots of milled receivers but.

I came across several lots of 80% lowers in boxes, some raw some anodized. Had 8 days and ended tomorrow. I go to check it out and all the 80% lower lots are no longer listed and it's not the type of auction you can buy it now.

Think maybe the company listing the items got some heat for selling several 100 unmilled lowers?

Most on-line auction sites allow the seller to end a listing early if there are no bids on it. If a bid has been place they (usually) must follow through.

Some online sites also auction things till they hit the "Buy it Now" price, and then the buy it now price ends, and the auction price is what the price goes for.

Some auction listers have their products listed on other sites or for sale in their facility and reserve the right to end auction early upon sale of product.

You should have made a bid if you wanted the items. Waiting until the last minute to avoid others bidding against you can work against you, as it appears happened here.

IF there is a way to PM/Ask the seller questions?
Shoot them your question as to what happened to the ended auction.

Got an email response. Said they initially looked like 80% receivers but after further investigation by the auction house and a BATF rep, more machining was done and therefore considered a FFL required firearm. Guess it's possible. Oh well.
