How many of you seen customers "finger f#%king triggers and pointing guns at people in gun stores? I probably would not last long as a gun store employee, everytime I see someone do that I would probably not be very courteous.

In addition to the above, I have seen many people point the same gun at the spot between their eyes and peer down the barrel. I do not know why they do this. But for some reason, that never bothers me, whereas pointing them at others always does. Wierd. -
Hmm.. I'd actually have to say usually every single time. Even at the more "well known" Calguns supported stores.
I think the only time I didn't get swept by a firearm was when I went DROSing in the backyard of Hector and Michelle's backyard. That's only because it's difficult to get swept by 50 bare stripped lowers.
geeknow,
that must have been me. I did that recently to inspect the condition of a barrel and check for timing on a revolver.Comment

If they have the chamber locked open and a bore scope in the gun, whats the problem with them looking down the barrel?Comment

one time I was at turners, the sales/kid behind the counter was dryfiring the gun while it was pointed at me. Suffice to say he got a long stare, a mouthed "F U" and a discussion after it was no longer pointed at me.sigpicComment

You see it at gun stores all the time. Gun shows also.
I just wonder how they got a HSC?Comment

Heh, I see it every day. Its funny when you have to tell them severl times not to sweep across the room.
"sir, can you point the firearm at the wall behind me.?
"SIR! Can you please point the firearm at the wall behind me?"
"HEY! Point that thingy in your hands at the wall BEHIND me!"
they eventually get it else they dont see any more firearms.Buy my EO Tech XPS3-0!!!
For those nutjobs who like to use the word "gouge"
Note: I did not write the above article.
Any carpenters in Socal want a side project?

I don't ever remember getting a gun pointed at me, but I see fingers on triggers and pulling triggers all the time. Those are the two things I am very OCD about, where you point the gun and putting fingers on triggers. I have only pulled triggers when I have been given permission to by the store clerk.Last edited by Josh3239; 11-04-2008, 3:23 PM.Comment

Courtesy is required only as far as nobody is threatening your life.
AND dont forget rule number 10 of social interaction:
"Be kind and courteous at all times, but always have the means and method to kill everyone you meet."Comment

Anytime I handle a firearm at a store, I sk permission to aim it somewhere. I let the sales associate tell me where to point it. It works for me...
Originally posted by E Pluribus UnumDuring Y2K my neighbor and I were talking and he said he had a basement full of water and canned food. He asked if I had stocked up and I said that I had. I told him I bought a 12 guage shotgun, a .308 rifle and several bricks of .22 ammo.
He is an anti-gun guy and he said. "Well, you can't eat ammunition". I replied with "When I'm starving to death with a case of ammunition, who's door do you think I am going to knock on?"Comment

what do you do when people are constantly getting in the way of a gun you are trying to point in a safe direction. that really bugs me.Weatherby Vanguard 30-06, Ruger 10/22, Mossberg 500, sig-p6/225, springfield GI 45,
