Crime doesn't take a break just cause you need to get your workout in.
A weightlifter described as an angry loner dedicated to pumping iron opened fire with a shotgun at his San Diego-area fitness club Thursday, killing four people before returning to his car and killing himself, police said.
A Pennsylvania man who walked into a gym aerobics class and opened fire, killing three women and wounding nine before turning the gun on himself, "had a lot of hatred in him," police said Wednesday.

pistol wear PT1 or PT2
Pistol Wear creates premium concealed carry holsters for active and professional lifestyles. Secure, discreet, and built for movement; from running to workplace carry and scrubs. Integrated support bands mean no belt loops required. Comfort, confidence, and true concealed carry freedom.
You probably shouldn't sprint in one but long distance jogs are actually not a problem. Any upper body exercise is not a problem though ab or leg workouts may be awkward.
Back in Texas, for gym carry I always preferred offbody carry. I just had a cheapo I found at a swapmeet but something like this http://www.towelmate.com/innovation/...es/feature-gym or a draw string backpack would be fine. Just dont get in the habit of walking away from your gearUnless we keep the barbarian virtues, gaining the civilized ones will be of little avail. Oversentimentality, oversoftness, washiness, and mushiness are the great dangers of this age and of this people." Teddy Roosevelt

I assume you're running outside, if so I'd go with a fanny pack. I am pretty sure they have some with holsters built in."The tyrant will always find a pretext for his tyranny."

you did have to do anything. You chose to interject yourself into the situation. So crime stops when you are working out now? There arent 5150s out there who cut peoples heads off on the bus because they were possessed by the devil? I actually had to disarm someone at the gym because of a fight on the basketball court and hold him until PD arrived. I Mean why post something that im not asking about? Im not asking about your opinion on if i should carry while working out i can make up my own mind about that im looking for carrying options....USMC '05-'09 - 2111 - Keeper Of The Cold Steel

I work out a lot and will second the pistol wear neoprene belly "holster". I've had mine for 4 years or so and it is great. Works well for walking or jogging. I usually carry an XDS .45 or Kahr PA.
Ironically, the only time I've had to draw and fire my weapon in self defense was while I was out jogging.
This holster doesn't do too well on a bicycle. The angle and leg motions causes the gun to ride up and want to fall out.Comment

Why not one of these, I've heard great reviews...

If you don't mind it under your arm and sweating all over it. Try kangaroo carry! I just got one last week and it's better then any shoulder rig I've owned. The nice thing is.... I'm a husky fellow, this holster allows my pistol to be snug under my arm and it does not move. I don't know how well it will be running but it suits me well for everything I do, hiking etc

holster for working out?
Hill People's Runner bag with a holster tied into the main compartment for proper trigger coverage.
I'll admit that this looks okay while jogging with the dogs but might look a little strange at the urban gyms in California.Comment
