    Shooting Steel Ammo

Right now, the closest gun ranges to me prohibit shooting anything with a magnetic projectile. Is this a safety issue of some kind?

Anyway, I am in Danville right now, zip code 94526.

Where is the closest I can shoot steel ammo?

    Thanks,
    Dave

I shoot steel core ammo at the Richmond Rod & Gun Club range and have been doing so for a number of years

Hey hey, Danville...I grew up there. USI in Concord won't let you shoot it during the summer. But during the winter they've been known to allow it on the "down low". Maybe try Chabot? I don't remember ever being checked out there. I don't think Los Altos checks/has rules against it either.
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.
