Somebody was offering steel replacements but I can't remember who. I think it is a common issue those guns have.

I read 15-20 years ago those 9 shot 22 revolvers were the weapon of choice for drug sellers working a corner. I have the 999 top break one. I could see whacking a competitor with it...

They just never get same attention though.

Oh and that poor poor little hacksaw job... makes me sad.
Receiver looks solid, it can be fixed.

It's the price tag. Not many people are willing to drop $700 on a 22 bolt action, much less a Ruger one.

Wait, wait, wait . . . 15 to 20 years ago AR-15s and AK-47s were the weapons of choice for street criminals. They would wear them thrust down the front of their pants. The senior Senator from California said so.

                    Good one.

Only AK and gang bangers I remember from back then was some clown shooting the Turbo hydramatic transmission in the Chebby. It was an AK, trashed the hearing in both of them and stopped the Chebby in 100 yards when all the ATF leaked out...you had to have a clue to use AR's and AK's in the hood.

I'm amazed they have decent ammo for once.
