So I've been watching videos on shooting around barriers. There is a lot of good info out there but I genuinly am wondering how to tactically shoot over a wall. Its always shooting around walls which makes sense but what if you have to shoot over a wall.


Other than the jihadi squat and shoot what oprions if any are available?

To properly execute this maneuver, you need a tactical vest, ballistic mask + helmet, 2 leg holsters, black BDUs, a weapon system equipped with at minimum a flashlight/laser combo and a bipod. Then it will all come together for you. Simply shooting over a wall must not be done without the proper equipment.

The ballistic mask isn't nearly enough. You need a full-face motorcycle helmet and a Leatt brace for that kind of tactical maneuvering.

The reason you don't see a lot of "over barrier" emphasis in training materials is that many consider exposing yourself over the top of the barrier to be more dangerous than exposing yourself around the edge of the barrier. Also, "over barrier" uses common sense/natural positioning and trainers may not feel that any special training is needed.
